COOKS RIVER AND CAHILL PARK

Being at the heart of Wolli Creek, Novotel Sydney International Airport, is blessed with the view of Cooks River at Wolli Creek right across the road. Sparkling light blue green water that shimmers in the light, there’s plenty of seating for you to relax at the end of a day. In the midst of the parklands, there’s a large playground great for families with kids that’s sure to keep the whole family entertained before hopping to a nice lunch or to the markets for some snacks.

WOLLI CREEK REGIONAL PARK AND GIRRAHWEEN PICNIC AREA

After some morning sun on the weekend, feel free to head to the hidden gem of Wolli Creek Regional Park. Available anytime for you to enjoy the serenity of an escape to nature. A short bushwalk might be exactly what you need as a break from the working week. Look out for amazing birdlife and enjoy calmness just a short distance from the city. Or alternatively, enjoy a barbecue under the sun at Girrahween Picnic Area just 9 minutes from Wolli Creek.

ORGANIC MARKET HOPPERS

Being in a trendy area, there are some great organic markets around to find fresh produce, great snacks and little gifts from lovely independent crafters. Especially worth checking out in the area, the Marrickville Organic Food Market offers Markets every Sunday from 9am to 3pm and the Carriageworks Farmer Market that’s on 8am to 1pm every Saturday.
