Getting Our Hands Dirty with Mudcrabs
As part of World Ocean Month, our team partnered with Mudcrabs for a meaningful bush regeneration initiative along the Cooks River.
Together, we removed invasive weeds, replanted native species, and donated cardboard mulch to help restore degraded land and improve soil health. We also learnt about the challenges facing the local ecosystem, how invasive plants impact the landscape, and the important role native vegetation plays in protecting biodiversity and supporting healthier waterways.
One of the highlights of the day was seeing Banksia and Acacia plants thriving in their natural environment. As names that many of us recognise from our meeting rooms, it was a wonderful reminder of our connection to the local landscape.
A heartfelt thank you to the Mudcrabs team for sharing their knowledge, passion, and commitment to preserving the Cooks River environment. It was an inspiring day of learning, teamwork, and giving back to the community.
Every small action contributes to a greener future, and we are proud to play our part.
